It costs Project Kenya $450.00 to help an indigenous church establish their feeding program. The dollar a month program supplies money to buy food for the program. Local indigenous church leadership teams develop a program within their congregation and community to donate more food.

Within a short period of time this local community develops lasting relationships with the children and needy families they serve. Personal relationships develop, local church outreach becomes strong, and a since of value evolves with that initial start up team. Ownership of the program becomes strong within that church, and our involvement eventually fades away.

As the program grows and more feeding dollars come in, we will assist more indigenous churches to start their feeding programs. It is our prayer that more and more Christians will give one dollar a month to feed the children, and the day will come when we no longer see children die of hunger.

Every dollar donated to this project goes to feeding the children. The meal they receive is a fully balanced hot meal. A sample meal would consist of: a beef stew mixture of meat and vegetables, rice, bread, green veg. or carrot sticks, pineapple, bananas, hot milk mixed with tea (a very common drink in Kenya). They are also fed the word of God through a Bible Story, followed by a fun activity.
